If Steph Wasn't a 49ers fan...

So this morning, while washing my hair in the shower, I got to thinking. If I wasn't born into my 49ers fandom, what team would I be a fan of? I ran through a handful of options in my head, all of which felt weird to think about. Then I finally landed on who I would root for....

THE GREEN BAY PACKERS.

Why, you ask? Don't worry. I've thought this through and come up with some extremely well thought out answers.

1. The Packers are the only team in the league without a physical owner. Instead of being owned by a super rich guy or a panel of super rich guys, the Packers are owned by hundreds of thousands of fans. Is that not the coolest thing ever?! I remember a few years back when I learned this, it blew my mind and I was jealous that I did not own a small portion of my favorite team. You cheese heads are lucky! Speaking of cheese.....

2. Cheese. I love cheese. And to get to wear a giant wedge of fake cheese on my head once (or maybe more) per week? A literal dream.

3. Lambeau Field (where the Packers play) looks like such a cool place to go to home games. Sure, the Packers often ask for fans to come help shovel the snow off the bleachers (in January 2020, they called on 700 volunteers to come help with snow removal prior to kick off vs. the Seahawks), but doesn't that sound like a blast? Shoveling snow pre-game with your homies? Burn a couple hundred extra calories so you can drink more beer while watching the game and not feel bad about it? Sounds extremely ideal.

So even though you'll never catch me rooting for Packers on a Sunday, I like to think in a parallel universe, I'm currently shoveling snow and drinking beer with 699 other fellow co-owners of my own sports team while wearing a huge foam cheese wedge on my head.
